The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation
Russian Prosecutor General Places Sverdlovsk Entrepreneurs' Issues Under His Personal Oversight

During his working trip, Aleksandr Gutsan met with representatives of the local business community. Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler also attended the meeting.

The Prosecutor General noted that Yekaterinburg is a major industrial center, with an industrial concentration four times the national average.

"Products from metallurgical and chemical plants, as well as machinery, are in demand both domestically and in foreign markets, including China and India," he said. "Small businesses also make a significant contribution to the economy, ranking fourth in Russia by turnover."

In Gutsan's view, direct dialogue with entrepreneurs provides a platform for open and constructive discussion of problems, allowing for effective solutions and joint efforts to overcome them.

After hearing from business owners, the Prosecutor General thanked them for their engaged stance and substantive conversation, assuring them that the outcomes of the discussion would inform supervisory measures to support business. "I am confident that together we can influence the development of economic activity and the business climate in the region," he said.

"Prosecutorial intervention must be effective, and response measures must be aimed at eliminating the root causes of violations and genuinely restoring citizens' rights," he said.
