Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gutsan began the main day of his working trip to Yekaterinburg by visiting the Shirokorechensky Military Memorial Complex, a significant site of military history. He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame, honoring the memory of Ural soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War.

During his personal meetings with residents of the Sverdlovsk Region, locals raised their most pressing concerns, most of which involved the protection of their social rights.

Aleksandr Gutsan instructed his staff to immediately address the problems faced by participants of the special military operation and their families, as well as other vulnerable groups including orphans, persons with disabilities, and pensioners.

The Prosecutor General personally intervened on issues concerning access to healthcare, infrastructure for new residential complexes, relocation from dilapidated housing, compliance with citizens' rights under the regional gasification program and residential power grid connections, allocation of land plots to large families and provision of necessary infrastructure, road safety and maintenance of street and road infrastructure, environmental conditions including solid municipal waste management, and enforcement of court decisions on alimony payments.

He also focused his attention on the quality of criminal investigations and the failure of law enforcement agencies to act on reports of unlawful conduct.

The Prosecutor General held a personal reception for 26 citizens. He issued instructions on all matters raised and took personal control of their progress and outcomes.

On his orders, representatives from the central office of the Prosecutor General's Office had arrived in Yekaterinburg shortly before and were also conducting receptions for local residents. Over 350 applications had already been received.

The work will continue after the Prosecutor General's personal reception, ensuring that all those who wish to report problems that were not resolved at the regional level have the opportunity to do so.
